Leaders without solid principles fail at transforming organizations. Without a guiding “North Star” strategies and plans are directionless, with people left to performing tasks without purpose. Initiatives fail that focus on tactical plans rather than changing individual mindsets. In order to lead an organization, principles need to be outlined first, followed by strategy and vision, and then tactical plans and roadmaps. Leaders need to transform themselves first in order to effectively transform organizations, changing negative leadership traits into positive ones by clarifying their own principles.
